"Because Fleshbot needs competition", that's my subtitle. But in reality Fleshbot and this blog are so different it's like trying to compare CNN.com to Disney.Com.
I noticed Fleshbot's "Blogroll" which for those of you who don't know what that is is basically a set of (sometimes) reciprocal links that bloggers put on their page. I take special note of this because Fleshbot pretends to be a blog and must make itself appear so. Let me make it clear that I'm not disparaging Fleshbot in anyway, but the fact is that Fleshbot is more of a money-making venture than it is any sort of attempt at putting a happy face on porn for mainstream folks (I'd also like to point out that THIS BLOG is really masquerading as a front for my international illegal arms trading business).
I took a look at Fleshbot's blogroll:

Some I've heard of, some I haven't. If you take a look at my blogroll you'll find that it's heavily bloated. Why? Because I'm looking for some reciprocal linkage/traffic trading. Fleshbot on the other hand, being an arm of the Gawker/Denton media "empire" really doesn't NEED a blogroll. Websites that get featured on CNN.com don't need blogrolls. Websites that launch with the release of the Paris Hilton Sex Video don't need blogrolls.
And so that started me wondering, "If they don't need a blogroll, why do they have one? And if they have one, how do I get on it?"
I e-mailed them. I'll let you know what happens.
***UPDATE*** Fleshbot has responded in the comments section of this post.
we'll save you the trouble of having to update your post. here's the email we just sent you:
the sites in our "recommended" list are simply sites we like for one reason or another. some of them are current or past advertisers, and others have given us reciprocal links, but neither is a requirement.
if you have a site you'd like us to consider, please feel free to pass it along.

also curious that you say we "pretend" to be a blog instead of a "money making venture", as if the two were necessarily incompatible. where does it say that blogs can't make money through advertising?
