Jenna Jameson’s new book

Everyone’s favorite porn skank Jenna Jameson wrote a book. Wow. [Insert joke about porn stars being too dumb to write books here.]

Propelled by positive reviews and a nationwide book tour, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, the sizzling memoir by adult entertainment legend Jenna Jameson will debut September 5th at number nine on The New York Times non-fiction bestseller list, a monumental achievement for the adult industry superstar…

“A celebrity bio has to be judged on whether it’s entertaining and whether, despite the ghostwriter, a real person comes through in its pages,” said Charles Taylor on Salon.com. “Here, one does, and that’s as much a tribute to (co-author Neil) Strauss’ ability to merge with his subject as it is to the strength of Jameson’s personality. How to Make Love Like a Porn Star is lively, hellaciously entertaining, sharp, feisty and touching enough to earn Jameson the right to wear that ‘Heart Breaker’ tattoo on her right butt cheek.”

Too Many Records

How much harder is the Bush administration going to come down on what it sees as ‘obscenity?” According to the new legislation they have, they’re trying to make it more difficult for anyone in the business of porn to stay in business. In essence, they’re trying to force them out via mountains of paperwork and red tape.

Most particularly, they want every company that produces or displays porn (yes, this includes sites like this, or the hundreds that we have linked to) to keep detailed records on each of the performers. For movie / photo shoots, no longer will an id and paperwork cut it. They want the name of the performer, along with every alias she has used, every movie she has performed in, who she performed with, and when. In addition, any other media must be cross-referenced. So as a porn site, if we have licensed Jenna Jameson pictures in a gallery, we must also track all the above information.

Needless to say, those in the biz are outraged. And rightfully so, I say. They’re doing this under the guise of “protecting children” but the pornography laws already in place do that quite well. As far as I know, there’s been no case of an underage performer taking part in the business for over twenty years.
